Our Evening

Riding bikes in the driveway....

ME: Mya, look there's a bunny in the neighbors yard.

MYA: oh yeah, a bunny.

ME: He's cute!

MYA: Yeah he's cute.
(Bunny hops under a bush)

ME: Opps there he goes.

MYA:  Where's he going Mama?

ME: I don't know.  Where is he going?

MYA:  Mcdonalds to get some French fries.

All in a Days Work

Picked up Mya from daycare today.  The little chatter box was telling me about her day.  As she tried to persuade me to take her to the farm, I tried to change the subject and find something she wanted to do before she had a total meltdown about going home and NOT to the farm. (Heaven forbid)

Me: We're going to go home and let Emmie outside.
Mya: To go poop?
Me: I guess, she's been in her kennel all day.
Mya: Take her to the farm?
Me: Not today Mya. Grandpa is going to come over for dinner. Do you want to help me make dinner?
Mya: Sure (sounds like sir)
Me: Okay, do you want to help me make spaghetti?
Mya: Sure (sounds like sir)
Me: Good, I need a lot of help.
Mya: I can help you make spaghetti?
Me: Sir
Mya: NOOO Mama, don't talk like that.

Laughing.

Alissa and Jerry's wedding.

We had a fun family weekend at Blue Harbor Resort. Hang on, I got a little crazy with my camera.
The ceremony.

Brit, Josh, and Emsley

Mya giving Grant some love.

Looking for turtles before the reception.  Or as we called it, burning off some energy.

GREAT Grandkids.

Our sweet girl was a dance machine.  We had to hold her off while they had their first dance and father daughter dance.
"Is it my turn yet Mama?"

She was on the floor alllll night long.  Literally only took a break to potty.

 Her signature dance move.
It's somewhere between a cartwheel and break dance.

More to follow.

Polish Days

Polka Polka Polka.  Mya was really into the music this year and had a blast with her buds.

The left side is 2013 and the right is 2014

At the grounds.

Sunday fun-day. Parade time!

And we closed out the long weekend with a birthday party for Kammron.  Happy Birthday bud!

After a long weekend we were getting ready for bed (she was not wanting to go to sleep yet and we were dead tired) we wiped out some great parenting skills....had to use a little bribery to get her to settle down.  "Ok, if you get your pjs on, brush your teeth, and go potty, you can watch PBS Kids on mom's phone for 1 minute before bed."

She hurried off to get her work done.  A few minutes later Gary and I were tucking her in and she remembered about PBS Kids, so I handed her my phone and she pulled up Elmo.

I said, "Ok Mya, how long did Mom say you could watch?"
Mya: "Two minutes."
Me: Look at Gary and we both snicker, "Ok, two minutes."
Mya: "No, five Mom."

Lol, the little stinker...already working us over.

2 + 2 update

Now that our Dr. appointments are yearly, I don't do as many updates of Mya as I would like. So here are all the things she is saying and doing at age 2 (and 2 months).

Favorite Toys: Books, Books, Books! She still loves to read. She also loves playing with her dolls and riding her bike.

Favorite Food: Waffles! Every morning she wakes up and yells (err asks) for waffles for breakfast.

New Things she is saying: Her vocabulary has exploded recently and she is talking up a storm with full sentences. Some of my favorites:
"Mama, can I have some ice cream please?"
"Go to Grampa's farm and ride the four wheeler?"
"Oh Hi Emmie Lou, I love you!"
When I ask her to do something, "No Mama, I'm busy."
When she pretend talks on the phone, "Hello? Hey, what's up! How are you?"

Things she Loves: Swinging in her swing, riding her bike, going to the farm to ride anything with a motor.  Picking strawberries all by herself. Waiving to the neighbors, or anyone that drives past.

Things she Hates:  Getting ready for bed.

Things she is getting better with: Washing her hair and swimming in the pool. We had a major breakthrough last weekend with the pool.  At first she was not having it, but with Aunt Becca's help, she became a little swimmer bug.

Looking forward to more fun in year 2!!

Zoo

Mya and Chase had a wonderful time running all around the zoo. Their favorites were the farm animals, go figure.
We can't wait to do it again soon.

A family swim day! Yay!

Cousin Jack!

Emmie spent the weekend at the farm.  It looks like she had an awful time. ;)
