Christmas Time

Christmas Eve by Grandma and Grandpa was filled with the regular festivities. Dinner followed by presents and dessert. Gary and I got a container filled with all the canning supplies we could ever use. Thanks Grandma for picking that out. Gary is already asking when we can start planning the Garden. :)  He also got a new pair of boarding pants and a cookbook.
Frankie had my name and got me a new cutting board and rotary cutter for my sewing machine. I also got an awesome book all about wine from my Aunt Kath. Thanks, I love it!

Last Christmas with just the two of us!

Mason got a huge punching bag from Lu. I have no idea where they are going to put it!

Sisters around the tree!

Dad, Mom, and Becca. Mom is almost blinking, but it's still a nice picture.

Christmas day morning, we went to church and stopped to see Gary's family. The house was buzzing with excited kids and holiday celebrations.

The afternoon and evening was spent with Dad's side of the family at Anne and Rob's house. We talked, ate, and watched the packer game. It was nice to see family who hasn't been around for a few months.

Thanks Kath!

I finally got my wall wreath hung in our breezeway. I put the greens you gave me along the leaves on it and also added a few snowflakes and bulb ornaments. The pictures make it look kind of out of place, but it looks nice from outside the window. :) Love it!

Merry Christmas from Emmie!

Our neighbor sent over an early Christmas present for Emmie. She really doesn't like wearing it, but it makes for a cute picture. The first time we put it on her she sat perfectly still to avoid ringing the bells.  Maybe we'll keep it on her permanently. ; )

Holiday Treats

Today I did some baking for the holidays. I also have to take a snack to Gary's family Christmas party and thought these would be fun for the kids.....and SO easy to make!

Santa / Snowman Nutter Butter Cookies!

-One pkg Nutter Butter Cookies
-White baking chocolate, melted
-Mini marshmellows (cut in half)
-Mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
-Mini M & M's
-Red decorating sugar
-Black decorating icing (for snowmen only)

Directions: Melt white baking chocolate in double boiler or microwave. I find that microwaving on Defrost for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between, is the fastest and easiest. Dip cookie into chocolate on both ends and put on wax paper. (I was out so I used tin foil). Before chocolate hardens, sprinkle sugar and place marshmellow on hat. Let chocolate harden. Use a toothpick to dot 3 small globs of chocolate and immediately put on mini chocolate chip eyes and M&M nose. Yum!
For Snowmen cookies, use black frosting to dot eyes and mouth!

Reindeer Cupcakes
-White/Yellow box cake (and eggs / water / oil to go along with it)
-Chocolate frosting
-Nilla waffer cookies
-Pretzels
-M & M's
-Black decorating frosting

Happy Baking!!

4 1/2 Months

Maybe it's time for a few updates on this baby. :)

I had a Dr. Apointment yesterday and everything looked good. The heart rate was 148 and the Dr. said, "We'll see you in a month!" Nothing new really to report except the hip/joint pain i'm having in my legs...ouch! Hopefully that goes away soon...but I'm guessing not.

Next up: Ultrasound.

Other then that there is no real news to share. I bought my first pair of maternity pants last week and boy are they comfy. I'm still able to wear my old jean, but it's just more comfortable to have that extra stretch instead of a rubberband holding it all together.  :)  I'm not feeling to excited about posting tons of pictures of my expanding self....so be patient. They will come, they just might be few are far between.
