7 Months Old
7 Month Rundown:
Weight: 17-18 pounds
Food: She loves bananas, applesauce, peaches, pears, carrots, sweet potatoes, beans, and peas. We're working on drinking from a sippy cup, but so far she just uses it to bang/make noise on her high chair.
Play: Still LOVES her Jumparoo. She also still loves to sit in her bouncer chair and watch us cook or clean, but she is way to big for that now. :) She is able to sit on her own for periods of time while she plays, but doesn't go to a sitting position on her own yet. BUT, if she is leaning back against a pillow and a toy catches her interest she will sit up fully to reach for it.
Signing: We've started using a baby signing program as a way to communicate with her since she can't tell us what she wants. We're only doing a few and so far she just looks at us like, "ok crazy" but hopefully this will prevent many tantrums in the next year. The only one I think she really understands is "Dog" but I'm pretty sure she thinks it's a way to call Emmie....go figure. :)
Overall: Miss Personality is her nickname lately and there seems to be no end in sight. She is a total ham and I'm sure will be the life of all upcoming holiday parties. She has changed so much in the last month. We can't wait to see what else happens.

Playing with Emmie.
Tonight we had lots of play time on the floor with Emmie. It won't be too much longer and Mya will be crawling all over her.
I've never uploaded a video before, so I'm not sure if it will even work, but click the play button below and see what happens!!

Dr.
Mya had her cardiology appointment yesterday and we are happy to say that her VSD is improving. When he listened with his stethoscope he said her murmur was very faint which indicated that some of the abnormal blood flow causing the murmur decreased. Sure enough, when we got the results of the echo, we found two of the three holes have closed!! The cardiologist said there is a good chance the third will close on its own by her first birthday, but if not, they will keep checking it. The holes are not interfering with her heart's function or bothering any other aspects of her health so there is no reason for major concern at this time. So now we wait and check again next April!
She did not sit very still during the echo cardiogram though...we had to distract her like crazy. I can't imagine what the one will be like in 6 more months!! :)

Happy Halloween!! For Mya's first time trick or treating we dressed her as a cute little elephant. It was warm and snugly on this cold fall day.
