Mya had her cardiology appointment yesterday and we are happy to say that her VSD is improving. When he listened with his stethoscope he said her murmur was very faint which indicated that some of the abnormal blood flow causing the murmur decreased.  Sure enough, when we got the results of the echo, we found two of the three holes have closed!! The cardiologist said there is a good chance the third will close on its own by her first birthday, but if not, they will keep checking it.  The holes are not interfering with her heart's function or bothering any other aspects of her health so there is no reason for major concern at this time.  So now we wait and check again next April!

 

She did not sit very still during the echo cardiogram though...we had to distract her like crazy. I can't imagine what the one will be like in 6 more months!! :)
