Angie's bachelorette party

This weekend we celebrated Angie's bachelorette party.  Saturday afternoon we piled into the van and went wine tasting at a vineyard called Parallel 44 in Kewaunee. The weather was gorgeous and it was the perfect day for a tour and tasting. None of us ever toured a winery, so it was very interesting to walk through the vineyard and see the grapes growing followed by the entire wine making process.

After we sat and chatted as we tasted 6 different locally made wines. The fun thing about it all was that they work very hard at only making wine that comes directly from the grapes grown at their own vineyard.....which is hard because not many varieties of grapes can survive in this harsh winter climate.

After the tour/tasting we had dinner at Jimmy Seas restaurant. We started out on the patio, but the rain chased us inside. Of course, right after dinner, it stopped raining and we were able to get a group shot of us outside along the bay.

While I was having fun, Gary and a few friends were pouring our new concrete driveway. We had been working on this in steps all summer to save on the cost, and finally were able to find a date to make it work.  It was  a gravel, muddy mess for a few months, so I'm excited to have it finished. It looks really nice and as a bonus Emmie won't be tracking mud and rocks in the house every time it rains. :)
