Update

Update on my sweet girl's VSD:

We had her one year echocardiogram done yesterday and it looks like one of the holes is still open.  The Doc said there was no change since her last visit. We were hopeful they would be closed by her first birthday, but he said he has seen them close up to about 5 years old, so we're still hoping. As of now there are still no major issues to be concerned about, no surgery needed or anything like that; her heart if functioning great!! They did say her lungs are exceptional!  (see below)

She screamed horribly at every Dr and Nurse around. That's something new for her, usually she hams it up.  (Guess I better get out the baby book and make a note!)  They even had one nurse blowing bubbles and trying to distract her with Dora the Explorer. Stubborn little thing wasn't playing along.....just like her Dad! ;)

So for now we continue to be careful of any bacterial infections or random fevers and wait until her next check....just before her 2nd birthday.
